Talent, persistence, luck

Without the last, it’s hard to earn a buck

Most give it credit

Even when perseverance led it

For in the end, people look at results

Claiming luck was the cause while they cover up their faults

But you planned for this chance

Always grinding, waiting for the dance

Late nights and early rises

Always prepared, never any surprises

You may think an opportunity will never come

But do not think foolishly, for the lucky create some

So the next time someone says, “it was all luck”

Let them name the cause while you count up your bucks.
