I recently read a sobering article in the New York Times, which serves as a good reminder that life is not all about work. It should also be treated as a rallying cry for all legal professionals to slow down every once in a while, observe warning signs from colleagues, and act on red flags that become apparent. The demands of the profession can be incredibly intense, especially for those incessantly billing hours, and unfortunately, substance abuse is all too common. Heed the warnings of this article and don’t suffer in silence.
Life is too short and family is too important to act otherwise.
